The Replacements

Alternative, Rock
Formed in Minneapolis in 1979, The Replacements are widely considered to be one of the most important and influential bands. Just as they had their own well-documented influences, many of today's best young bands have voiced the strong mark The Replacements have made on their respective music. The band - consisting of founding members Paul Westerberg (lead vocals & guitar) and Tommy Stinson (bassist) - reformed in 2012 to record a benefit EP for stroke-addled former guitarist Slim Dunlap. That started the wheels turning on what eventually led to various select live festival performances with new additions David Minehan (guitar) and Josh Freese (drums).
